Top search on Google today was one of my all time favorites….wait for it ….LUTHER VANDROSS…yes that is right!

Today would have been his 60th birthday…so lets pause while we sing him the birthday song…..OK!

Brief history of who Luther was:  David Bowie discovered him. His middle name is a pasta that his mother,Mary, craved all during her pregnancy, which is Ronzoni. His career sold over twenty-five million albums,  won eight Grammy Awards. On April 16, 2003, he suffered a stroke in his Manhattan home which left him semi-conscious. He eventually passed away in 7/1/2005 (super sad day).

Jason Lusk on Idol season 7 sang “Dance with my Father”. He is brave because this is one of those artist that if you are going to sing the song most of the audience already knows the song. Mistakes will be noticed and then everyone will be comparing it to the original.

Whenever I hear most of his songs I have a video playing in my head and you have to sing along out loud! The funny thing is that most of the time the video in your head is not even the one that he put out. Its your own personal video. That is what also makes me feel is part of the mystic of his music. I can plug in whoever. He had this ability of touching you with the words in the song and he made it sound so good!

If you are unfamiliar with this artist you just have to check him out. I will post some links below. His music helps you get through any day! The right kind of pick me up or slow me down…all I can say is awesome!
